It is not at all unusual for people to make New Year’s resolutions that center on improving their health. Whether they want to lose a few pounds, firm and tone, work on reducing the impact of a chronic illness or just want to focus on feeling better, it all begins with laying the groundwork of a solid plan. 21st Century Rehab at Greene County Medical Center is here to help you work towards those goals and get your year and your plan started off on the right foot during their annual Free Exam Week Jan. 22-26.
“I like to draw an analogy to automobiles,” explained director Deb Morton. “Just as we schedule and adhere to routine maintenance to avoid major issues with our cars, trucks and SUVs, we should be doing the same with our bodies. It is much easier to deal with any problems that arise in the earlier stages, before that system causes even more problems in others. Patients do not need to be experiencing pain to schedule a free exam, we are happy to visit with them about any concerns and their goals. But, if you are experiencing joint pain, headaches or chronic pain in other areas of the body, we do recommend you set aside time for a free exam with one of our therapists.”
Scheduling an appointment is as easy as calling 515-386-4284 or logging on to 21stcenturyrehab.com,/free-exams/ and filling out the request form. Morton also wants to assure patients that they will find a time that fits into your schedule. “If you are unavailable for an exam in to the designated week, we are happy to work with you to lock in a date outside of that range.”
